Isn’t it funny how getting your hair done makes you feel like a brand new girl? Or how putting on a hot pair of 4 inch pumps gives you the boost you need to conquer the world (or at least get you through one more day). My favorite is getting a pedicure and picking out a polish color that doesn’t match any of my clothes simply because I get more compliments on an insanely bright green than I ever would a modest pink…

There is nothing more inspiring and terrifying than moving to a new city with absolutely no real plan. I obviously have a main goal, right?…right. I have to remind myself of that every day. In Nashville, it’s almost like everyone already knows what I do. Mainly because they do it, too! Some people would say that’s not a good thing because it makes you just another big-boobed, blond-headed singer in a city full of big-boobed, blond-headed singers. It truly only makes sense to me to be here. Besides, what good would it do me to be in a city full of flat chested, brunette mechanics? My sense of humor won over the delete button, so please disregard the previous sentence. My point is, I’m ridiculously inspired to be here in music city. I’m itching to play out the new stuff so check back soon for some show dates!!

Thank you! Two very simple words that pack a mighty BIG punch. I’m so thankful to have the kind of friends and fans that will take time out of their busy lives to vote for my song!! Thanks to all of you, 94.9 The Bull played “Our Kind Of Love” again Saturday night on their Backyard Country segment. I can’t explain how much of a rush it is to hear something created in my brain come blaring through my car speakers! Last Saturday night, I couldn’t stop crying when The Bull played it. This last time, I couldn’t stop laughing. With enough votes, I suppose we’ll find out what other uncontrollable emotions I’ll have next week…so, please keep the votes coming!!! :-)

Well, here’s some exciting news to tell. 94.9 The Bull is going to play my song, “Our Kind Of Love,” this Saturday at 9pm EST. They’re an awesome radio station in Atlanta that has a fun thing called Back Yard Country, where they highlight local artists and bands! How incredible is that!? It’s that time again…you know, when everyone makes all kinds of promises and goals for the upcoming year. There’s the very common resolutions to lose weight, quit smoking, & get out of debt, but MY New Year’s Resolution is to finish this album!…and lose 10lbs. Also, a fun thing that the year 2012 will bring is a moving truck to my front door! I cannot wait to call Nashville, TN my home!! New year, new home, new album, new adventures. “2012 will be quite swell!”

With an absurd amount of excitement, I am happy to say that this country album is slowly but surely making it’s way to reality. We begin recording this month!! I promise to document every single phase. This project means a lot to me and my fans mean the world to me. So much in fact, that I want ya’ll to see the whole process of getting this baby signed, sealed, & delivered! Be sure to check back soon for my video blog.
